No we do not! We provide a very personal service to our furry clients and like them to have lots of fuss and one to one attention. You won’t find a Mollycoddles Boarder with a houseful of dogs. We love to get to know each individual dog with their remarkable characters and unique charms. We also love our dog owners, as we share the same deep fascination and fondness for our four legged companions. Each of our dog guests gets close supervision and plenty of human bonding opportunities
At the moment, we don’t board dogs under 12 months of age. However, circumstances do change so you might want to sign up to our newsletter to keep up to date with our services. Also, you will get 10% off your first booking with us (when we can hopefully help in the future), and will hear about any offers we have on. Click here to sign up.
We love to discover like-minded dog lovers! This offers a fabulous opportunity to have the company of a dog without the commitment of owning one. Great if you are retired, work from home or perhaps you work in a school so have the school holidays free for dogs. You can board as little or as often as you choose and you will always get to meet the dog first and do a trial to make sure you are happy to have them stay longer. Love dogs? You must have a safe and secure garden, experience with dogs, and no children under 5.
If this is of interest to you, please complete this form.
You will need to have an up-to-date DBS certificate and experience with animals.
Yes, we have some Home Boarders who don't have dogs of their own and only board one dog at a time or two from the same family. Space is limited though. None of our Home Boarders board lots of dogs at once.
No I'm afraid this is not possible. So please ensure your dog is not due to have a season during the boarding period.
This depends on the individual dog. Some of our Home Boarders will not take a dog unless they have been neutered so it does limit availability.
Yes, if tablets then this is part of the job. If you dog requires an injection though then only some of our Home Boarders would be willing.
Yes, we will try to walk your dog according to their usual routine at home.
Only if you give permission, sign a form to say you give permission and your pet sitter feels comfortable doing so.
Yes, all our Pet Sitters must have an up to date DBS Certificate. We also carry out reference checks.
Yes we are fully insured with Cliverton which is an insurance company that specialises in insurancing pet sitting businesses.
I am sorry but we can only board dogs that are FULLY house trained. This means that they no longer pee or poo in the house under any circumstance. Marking in the house will not be tolerated. If your dog still requires a puppy pad put down then they are not fully house trained. You might want to consider House Sitting instead where a Pet Sitter comes to your house to look after your pets.
I am sorry but no we don't. This would not be fair on our Home Boarders. They do a wonderful job and should not have to board dogs that might chew something they shouldn't. If your dog does chew something they shouldn't then you will be expected to pay for that item. If this is likely to happen though then please do not book for home boarding and consider our house sitting service instead where one of our house sitters goes to your home to look after your pets.
Yes, absolutely. In fact, some of our Home Boarders love it when they do! Just not all of them so it does limit availability a little.
This really depends on the extent of it. If your dog gets very stressed when you leave them then it might not be fair to board them at all at this stage and you may need to work with a trainer to help them feel less anxious. We do have dogs come to us that get a little anxious when first left but with lots of patience, love and calm interaction we can usually ensure they settle in ok. We always carry out a trial night with new dogs but particularly anxious ones may require a couple of hours to begin with then a day then a night to gradually build up the time they are left. You would need to be available to pick them up if they wouldn't settle though. This is important for the welfare of your dog.
The owner must supply their dog's food. All dogs are on different diets so it would be very difficult for us to provide this. We always have a supply of treats on hand but please inform your pet sitter if they are only allowed particular foods & treats (which you will provide).
Yes, this is not a problem. We encourage all dogs to take what makes them feel comfortable.
Our services get booked up sometimes 12-18 months in advance for busy periods so I would say as soon as you possibly can. Trial nights should be held sooner rather than later so that we can confirm the Home Boarder is a good fit for your dog and your dog a good fit for them. If you wish your dog to stay with them again nearer to a longer booking to get used to their holiday home, this can be arranged but must be done in advance and outside of the peak period.
No we specialise in solo walks and small groups of 2-3 dogs. This means we can really keep an eye on each dog in our care and ensure their needs are being met and they don't wander too far (if off lead). If your dog loves to socialise with other dogs we know some great places to go where there are lots of other dogs to play with.
We can do solo dog walks yes. They will cost a little extra but your dog will be walked on their own and, if necessary, taken to a quiet place where we rarely meet other dogs.
You, or a friend or family member, must be available to pick your dog up at short notice.
Yes, we do. Please see price list for details.
For most services we require payment 4 weeks before it starts. For regular services such as weekly dog walks, we will invoice at the end of the month (payable immediately). We have found that these days dog walks tend to chop and change from week to week so this is the best way to do it.
We no longer take deposits as it just creates extra admin. And who needs that!
For most services, we require at least 4 weeks notice except under exceptional circumstances.
For regular Dog Walking we require at least 48 hours notice.
Absolutely, so long as your dog is friendly and happy to have strange dogs in their home and you meet the rest of the criteria. Get in touch for more info.
“Thank you so much. Karen and David were brilliant! I might have missed Peppa but I was 100% certain she was being looked after like one of the family and having a wonderful time with Diesel and friends. Will be my go to every time, cannot thank you enough.”

“We were so delighted with how Benji was cared for. It was so reassuring having WhatsApp updates and clearly Benji was doted on by Jayne. We would happily recommend Mollycoddles.”
